Canadian Patrick Carpentier won the CART "Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio" at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio, USA. Player's/Forsythe teammate Alex Tagliani was 7th. The other Canadian in the field, Paul Tracy dropped out in the early laps with engine failure.
